About Mr. Lee Chicken's 1st Franchise Store

Our Story

Every great restaurant begins with a story — and ours is one built on family, passion, and craftsmanship.

Our first franchise location, opened in 2025, is led by a father with over 20 years of culinary and restaurant experience, and his son, a head chef trained at Michelin 3-Star restaurants in Napa, San Francisco, and Mountain View.

From the precision of fine dining to the warmth of family tradition, every dish here carries a story — a balance between heritage and innovation.

Since 2021, our headquarters has nurtured this brand with dedication and success, providing full support to ensure every location embodies the same excellence. This first franchise location is not just an extension — it’s a milestone that represents our shared dream, crafted with heart and skill.

   About  Mr.Lee Chicken

Great Chicken and Korean Food !

A sports bar specializing in Korean fried chicken in Concord.

Mr. Lee Chicken, owned and operated by Sun Young Lee, is at 1651 Willow Pass Road, off highway 242.

“Korean fried chicken is becoming more and more popular in Northern California,” says Lee, who will be operating the kitchen himself, alongside his wife. “Ours will be authentic and packed with flavor and tons of sauce options. And of course, beer!”

The space, which shares a plaza with Ohgane Korean BBQ, Kansai, and a handful of other restaurants, will feature large TVs for sports-watching, a bar, and 15-17 dining tables. According to Lee, the restaurant should serve as a hub for people who want to “watch the game, have a beer, and eat some good fried chicken.”

What they say
  • I can't believe I haven't reviewed our fave Korean fried chicken place before. We come here probably more times than we should for not living in the area. Huge open space with plentiful parking, we've never had a problem with getting a seat here although it should be more frequented because their food is so dang good. Their prices are a bit high, but you get a quality product here. Many a time I've spent less on other places and have been disappointed and wasted calories so, I'll pay more to be completely satisfied here. Super crispy, dare I say the word moist, not oily, succulent chicken in flavorful sauces! We've tried 4 of their flavors and their Yangyum (wet sweet and sour) and garlic parmesan (dry rub) are our go tos.Love their chicken, the pickled radish, their fried rice, their fries and loved loved their kimchi pancake, but they don't have that one anymore! Put in cry emoji here. It won't stop me from coming back for their chicken. Add in an order of white rice to enjoy with their chicken and I'm a happy camper. I was introduced to their creamy milk soda, Milkis. Perfect accompanying beverage with their fried chicken. Money well spent everytime.

  • Phenomenal fried chicken! I have ordered it three times in the last three weeks! Had an issue this last delivery and after contacting the manager, he immediately took care of it! I have ordered chicken wings (twice) and the 8 piece fried chicken!! So good! Not greasy, but tender and moist with a satisfying crunch!!

  • Great fried chicken! We ate it so fast that we forgot to snap a picture. The Mr. Lee sauce is our favorite and of course we always get a side of ranch. The kimchi fried rice is another favorite and the fries are always served hot and crispy.
